I tried the "Mitsuhide Chirashi," a dish made up of 11 different ingredients +:｡.｡.｡:+

What I ate this time was:

⚪︎Mitsuhide Chirashi 1760 yen (tax included)

This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants that I often stop by when I'm in this area!

This is a restaurant that has also handled catering for a certain famous drama ଘ♡ଓ

Akechi Town is one of the places considered to be the birthplace of Akechi Mitsuhide! There seem to be about four locations associated with Akechi Mitsuhide, according to some theories.

In one of these places, I finally got to try the "Mitsuhide Chirashi," which I'd been curious about for a while.

The ingredients include 11-13 items (8-9 of which are sashimi), and apparently they change daily.

Today's ingredients were tuna, squid, shrimp, salmon, Spanish mackerel, bonito, sea bream, salmon roe, egg, perilla leaf, and lotus root in a flower-shaped sushi topping.

It was visually stunning and packed with ingredients!

Every bite was amazing!

It also comes with a salad, miso soup, and dessert.

The dessert also seems to change daily.

Today it was chestnut paste! It was delicious with lots of chestnut pieces in it! ⋆.

I stopped by for lunch
I wasn't starving, so I tried the trial A Lunch for 550 yen (tax included)!
It included chirashi sushi and soba or udon noodles
I ordered soba, and they said I could choose between hot or cold
I chose cold soba, and they also asked if I wanted hot or cold tea
The service was wonderful 👏
Considering the price, I thought it would be just a small bowl of sushi, but it was a proper full portion, and the soba had fried tofu, tempura scraps, and fish cake too
In these times, I almost feel guilty paying such a low price...

I had the F lunch.
For the main course, I chose nigiri sushi. The toppings were thick and delicious. I also liked that I could change the miso soup to a mini udon for an additional 150 yen.

It was a very satisfying lunch, allowing me to enjoy the deliciousness of fresh tuna in various forms.
The fact that it came with miso soup, salad, and dessert was also a nice bonus!

Restaurants with many male customers at lunchtime are usually good value for money, right? 😁
The restaurant is run by a husband and wife and their son, and they always make an effort to greet their customers, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. 🥰
I forgot to take pictures of the menu this time, so I'll do so next time! 🤗

I stopped by on my way back from picking bracken.

It was a very budget-friendly restaurant, with all lunch options under 1000 yen.

The chirashi sushi and soba set was around 600 yen, I think? Maybe even cheaper.

They also had sets with nigiri sushi, and all the sets looked delicious.

I'd like to visit again when I'm in the area 😉

今回1枚GET。

On the way back from Taisho Village, I called and ordered a regular and medium-sized nigiri sushi set from Sushi Taisho, a restaurant recommended for lunch based on online reviews. I got home in about 10 minutes and immediately plated the regular and medium sets to eat. Regarding the toppings, the squid and scallops were tender and delicious. However, the tuna in the tekka and nigiri sushi was dry and didn't taste fresh, which was very disappointing. Also, for takeout orders, you get one service coupon for every 1000 yen spent (including tax), up to a maximum of 20 coupons for a 1000 yen shopping voucher. I got one this time.

Based on the reviews, I think eating lunch at the restaurant is a better option.

You can choose 3 rolls from 6 different kinds, even if they're the same.
The chirashi sushi has mixed rice with negitoro (minced tuna) and comes with soba noodles.
It's very filling and delicious.
All 6 of us who were there gave it 5 stars.

I had the 1100 yen (tax included) nigiri lunch, and I think it has a certain charm that conveyor belt sushi restaurants don't have. ☆☆☆

It's located on the way from Mizunami, through Tou, to Akechi Station and Taisho Village.

The exterior looks more like a diner than a sushi restaurant.

There's ample parking space in front of the restaurant.

Upon entering, there's a counter with 6 seats straight ahead, and to the left, a raised tatami area with two 4-seat tables, and next to that, two smaller tables with chairs.

The lunch menu has options A through D, with C and D offering choices like nigiri, tuna bowls, and chirashi sushi.

Today, I ordered the D lunch set with nigiri.

Opening time: 11:00 I entered the restaurant right when it opened, so it took about 30 minutes, but I didn't feel it was that slow.

The tray was beautifully arranged with nigiri sushi (tuna, squid, salmon, shrimp, egg, tuna roll, cucumber roll, inari), miso soup, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), a mini salad, simmered mackerel, and fruit.

For 1100 yen, this is great value for money.

Furthermore, the service was excellent.

Overall, I'd say it's somewhere between a conveyor belt sushi restaurant and a high-end sushi restaurant.

It's a casual lunch.

Thank you for the meal!

The sushi is also different from conveyor belt sushi, as it's large, country-style sushi, and it's very satisfying!

When I was thinking about where to have lunch, I was a little inspired by the TV show "Bus Sand: A Journey to Find a Sushi Restaurant in a Landlocked Prefecture"! I looked for it on a gourmet and souvenir map at the town's tourist information center and decided to go. It was 1:15 PM at Akechi Station. Lunch is served until 1:30 PM, so I called to ask if we could eat there, and they readily agreed. It was a 3-minute drive. I thanked them for accepting us and bravely took a seat at the counter. The atmosphere of the restaurant was like a local diner, which was strongly felt from the shelves where regulars kept their bottles. I had the chirashi sushi and my wife had the D lunch. The colors, quantity, and quality were so good that it was hard to believe we could eat it for 1000 yen. Dessert was also included after the meal. The staff were friendly and chatted with us, and they even provided a case to put our masks in, which was a welcome service in these times. Inside the restaurant, there were things that made it feel like a place where people gather, such as a message board from Toho High School, the winning team of the 2019 National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament. The toilet was particularly noteworthy. It may sound obvious, but you can't go wrong with a restaurant that has clean restrooms.
